Laughter is a cathartic way to connect and an immediate icebreaker, it is no coincidence that many brands around the world seek to reach more audiences and consumers by catching them off guard and making them laugh.
A sidereal-space encounter, a clash of the titans of two of the biggest franchises on the planet and two huge actors: Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) and Patrick Stewart (Jean-Luc Picard). This ad has them facing off in a desolate hangar, in a scene reminiscent of mafia movies, shooting witty comic darts at each other and arguing about the correct pronunciation of tomato.

A vintage aesthetic ad that emulates those early color television commercials, from extremely American companies brimming with patriotism. The twist is that it is an advertisement for Labor Day that establishes a game of naming essential jobs that are also typical stereotypes of porn. What's more, a famous porn actor plays all the workers and the narrator, with a nationalistic tone, finishes the ad with a great punch line.

A classic dose of British humor. A fixed take on an aesthetic interview documentary: two cartoon characters who with serious expressions speak of how outraged they are with the BBC itself for not being literal about the titles of their series. Typical British humor portrayed by faces of neutral expressions, puns and well-executed sarcasm and irony.

A marked aesthetic that favors vibrant colors; Tim Burton-style caricatured characters and settings; and a narrator with perfect timing for delivering jokes. An advertisement that is a visual delight for the senses and with a dynamic rhythm that keeps you attentive to the narration.

It is funny not because the ad is funny but because we are facing a Facebook ad that comes to give us an indoctrinating and moralistic message about our online privacy. Wink, wink! And... in a friendly, conversational and mischievous tone. An ad that makes you laugh in the same complacent, condescending way that you would do if you were a Facebook employee and Mark Zuckerberg was chatting with you.

Of those ads that are fun rather than hilarious. A piece that takes us nostalgically back to places of our childhood and to movies that shaped us as, in this case: Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. A very well done ad that cleverly demonstrates how epic a home maintenance task can be. The visual effects and the edition are amazingly well-crafted.

An ad that does not make you laugh out loud but leaves you smiling at the cleverness of putting together the joke. Because many of these ads are short gags with a final punch line. From the construction of the characters: a series of forgotten characters gathered in a kind of AA reunion, the Hollywood but gloomy and decadent aesthetic and the naturalistic performances; everything is meticulously calculated for the final conclusion that comes smoothly and is deposited like a smile on your face .

A visually stunning journey perfectly accompanied by classical music through all the graphic manifestations of our phallic-centric culture. In simple words: images of penises drawn, painted, sculpted, photographed ... everywhere. Everything leads to the grand finale that questions us in the following lines: We all know what a penis looks like. Maybe it's time we learn more about the clitoris.

Long live 2D animation and these two filmmakers keep it more than alive and hilarious. An ad for ADULT SWIM that maintains its characteristic humorous tone. An advertisement that portrays the game of chess and its pieces as a living world and with the same problems of coexistence and daily life as any of us. The King watches porn on laptop and his wife the Queen catches him in the act...

A funeral is something that gives free rein to our imagination and sets the stage for comic situations. An advertisement that recounts a scene that we have all witnessed directly or indirectly. A sober aesthetic that highlights the performances of the characters. An absurd situation that is sustained by the funny timing of the actors in a very good casting choice.
